Bledington Village Hall

Commons Groups: Group contributor count and topics

Bledington Village Hall Committee exists to ensure that there is a meeting place available for all groups, of any age group in the village and surrounding area. It seeks to hire out the Hall as economically as possible while, at the same time maintaining the Hall in good condition and in line with current legislation for a public building.

Help is always needed at fundraising events and new people are always welcome to be co-opted on to the Committee. There is an AGM which is announced in the newsletter and on this website.

The fete covers the Green on an early June Saturday, with a mix of new & traditional stalls & games & refreshments.  Founded in its present form in the later 1940s by the then Vicar & churchwardens, & aimed at the children of the village, it changes every year - most recently by partnership with Bledington School &, last year & this, thanks to the generosity of the Bledington Community Events Committee, by being able to use a marquee erected for the Annual Barn Dance.
