3, 4 and 5 June at St Leonard’s Church. 7.30pm

Tickets are £18 each and include interval canapés

Tuesday 3 June – 4 Girls, 4 Harps
Their programme, entitled ‘A Trip around the World’ includes music by Handel, Rachmaninov and Ravel

Wednesday 4 June – Craig Ogden, Guitar
His programme is not yet to hand but will be very enjoyable. He is well known locally and internationally.

Thursday 5 June – The Aurora Ensemble
This is a wind quintet, comprising flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon and horn. Their programme includes music by Mozart, Walton, Gershwin and Percy Grainger The Aurora Ensemble were specifically invited to build the experience of wind instruments for the school children. They have a project called ‘Sound Exciting’ aimed at primary children. Unusually for us, this comes at an extra cost, so we are currently seeking extra funding for this presentation. Normally our musicians perform free of charge for the school although we have incurred costs for school performances in the past. The children have heard flute, clarinet and oboe so this will add bassoon and horn. Older children will have seen the whole woodwind family during their time at Bledington School.

Thank you to everyone who was affected for their patience and understanding. We also thank John Bonner, the builder for his swift attention to the problem. It was very unfortunate that it was the youngsters who who were unable to use the Hall for their final meetings before Christmas.
